Packers seek foundation grant applicants

GREEN BAY - Civic and charitable groups have until July 1 to apply for Green Bay Packers Foundation grants.

The Packers Foundation awarded $600,000 to 236 groups across the state in 2015 through its Green Bay Packers Give Back program. It has awarded more than $5.9 million since 1986.

Grant applications are reviewed by foundation trustees. Public announcement of grant recipients and an awards luncheon will be held in December.

The Packers organization provided $6.5 million in charitable giving in 2015 through Foundation annual and impact grants, appearances by players, alumni, coaches and staff, cash and in-kind donations, community events, Make-A-Wish visits, youth football outreach and more.
