Buildings begin to rise in Titletown District
ASHWAUBENON - Hinterland Brewery and Lodge Kohler are taking shape in the Green Bay Packers' Titletown District.
Construction crews have moved from foundations to above-ground structures on the 35-acre district's anchors. A third announced tenant, Bellin Health, is expected to begin construction on a sports medicine clinic in August.
The three anchors are scheduled to open before the start of the 2017 NFL season. Hinterland Brewery owner Bill Tressler said his project, which will include a brewery, taproom, restaurant, two private dining rooms and a heated, outdoor beer garden, is shooting for an April 2017 opening.
Phase 1 of Titletown District consists of 21 acres, including 6 acres of a planned 10-acre public park and plaza. The Packers are expected to reveal plans for the public plaza this summer, probably by August, when a groundbreaking also might be scheduled.
The district also will have 180,000 square feet of additional commercial space along Lombardi Avenue and Marlee Lane, and as many as 70 townhouses along Brookwood Drive. A parking structure also is possible.

Titletown District, immediately west of Lambeau Field, is bordered by Lombardi Avenue, South Ridge Road, Marlee Lane and Brookwood Drive. Initial investment in the project, including land acquisition and infrastructure improvements by the Packers, is estimated at $120 million to $130 million. Total team investment will be about $65 million.
Village President Michael Aubinger said Titletown District will generate up to $100 million in tax base.
