Packers buy two more Brookwood properties
ASHWAUBENON - The Green Bay Packers paid nearly a half-million dollars for two more properties on Brookwood Drive.
The team is buying land along the south side of the street to build townhouses as part of its Titletown District development. The team has said it would build up to 70 townhouses as part of the commercial/retail/residential/recreational development. Most of the properties are duplexes.
The organization paid $229,500 for 1119-1121 Brookwood Drive and $260,500 for 1183-1185 Brookwood. The properties totaled a little more than a half-acre.
The Packers now own 73 acres in Ashwaubenon valued at more than $46 million based on 2015 assessments. Taxes on the properties were $970,716 in 2015.
The Packers have purchase options on most of the duplexes between South Ridge Road and Marlee Lane on the south side of Brookwood. They have bought or will buy others, but are not under a deadline to file the transactions.
Team officials said they would meet with residential developers soon to begin refining their plans.
