Packers host business sales workshop

Eight companies were selected as protégés for the sixth year of the Green Bay Packers' Mentor-Protégé Program.

GREEN BAY - Jim Nelson of Exsell Inc. will discuss sales strategies at the next Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé program.

Nelson's presentation, "Stop Selling ... and Start Winning More Business," will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lambeau Field. His presentation will include tactics to gain control of a sale, differentiate products and services from the competition and close more sales profitably. The event will include a question-and-answer session and networking. It is free and open to the public.

Exsell is a professional sales training and development company based in Ashwaubenon.

The event will be in Lambeau Field's south end zone meeting area. Attendees must enter through the Shopko Gate.

The Mentor-Protégé program matches emerging minority-, female- and veteran-owned companies with established businesses and experienced businessmen to help them improve their operations. The Packers estimate that more than 100 jobs and average growth of 250 percent have been created during the six years of the program.

» Freshour Precision Welding and Fab, Hortonville, mentored by Lindquist Machine Corp., Ashwaubenon.

» Blush Pictures LLC, New London, mentored by The Community Blood Center, Appleton.

» Monkey Tailz, Green Bay, mentored by Top Hat Marketing Inc., De Pere.

» Stark Professional Tool, Cedar Grove, mentored by Paul Tutskey, De Pere.
