Hinterland Brewery to open Wednesday

ASHWAUBENON – Hinterland Brewery will open to the public at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Hinterland closed its downtown brewery/restaurant April 1 and during the past week hosted a number of private events as test runs.

Beginning Wednesday, hours will be 11 a.m. to midnight Sundays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to close Fridays and Saturdays.

The new building, in the Green Bay Packers' Titletown District, includes two restaurants, 24 beers on tap and indoor seating for 300. It also includes a modern, automated brewery with capacity for up to 14,000 barrels a year.

Hinterland is owned by Bill and Michelle Tressler. They founded the brewery in 1995 and were located in downtown Green Bay for 18 years before moving to Titletown District.

The Titletown District is a 35-acre commercial/recreational/residential development, 10 acres of which will be park and plaza with a winter sledding hill, a full-size football field and playgrounds. Other tenants include Lodge Kohler, a four-diamond hotel and water spa, and Bellin Health Sports Medicine & Orthopedics clinic, both of which are scheduled to open before the start of the 2017 NFL season.
