Ex-Packers coach Mike Smith sold Green Bay house for $740,000
GREEN BAY – Former Green Bay Packers outside linebackers coach Michael Smith sold his house at 2636 Good Shepherd Lane for $740,000.
Smith bought the house in March 2019 for $525,000, according to Brown County real estate records. The listing said an additional $150,000 was invested in the property. It was listed for $749,900.
Smith now is outside linebackers coach and pass rush specialist for the Minnesota Vikings.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom house is 5,807 square feet on .66 acres in northwest Green Bay, near Pamperin Park and Oneida Golf and Country Club.
The house includes a chef's kitchen with Bosch cooktop, a walk-in pantry, a primary bedroom suite with a spa-like master bath, dual walk-in closets and two sitting areas; and a children's playroom with a built-in castle.
It also has a 62-foot by 26-foot heated garage with an enclosed workshop, a theatre room with built-in risers, including furniture and all sound and screen components, and an extra large mudroom with lockers. Outdoor features include a fenced-in double lot with patio, a playset and a custom-built treehouse with a zip line.
Smith was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2005 and played three years before injuries ended his career. He began his coaching career with the University of Hawaii in 2009, and joined the Packers staff in 2019 after three years with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Packers released Smith from his contract at his request, after which he rejoined former Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine, who is assistant head coach for the Vikings.
