Missouri's 2018 'Best Hotel' found in Branson
Looking for Missouri's top hotel this year? It's on the banks of Table Rock Lake, just 50 miles south of Springfield.
Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center — no stranger to honors — was named the "#1 Best Missouri Resort” in the U.S. News & World Report “2018 Best Hotels” rankings.
The 8th annual "Best Hotels" rankings evaluated more than 24,000 properties in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Bermuda and Mexico. The final list was based on reputation among professional travel experts, guest reviews and hotel class rankings.
“This is an outstanding honor, for which we are very proud,” said Chateau on the Lake Resort & Spa’s General Manager John Parker, in a news release. “It recognizes Chateau on the Lake as the finest resort in Missouri, for many reasons, including our truly picturesque lakeside setting and views, impressive recreational and dining options, as well as beautiful accommodations.
"Additionally, I would like to recognize our wonderful Chateau Team for the first-class service they provide."
The 301-room lakefront resort near Branson's attractions and shows was also recently recognized with the AAA Four Diamond rating for the 20th consecutive year. It includes 43,500 square feet of meeting space, a 14,000-square-feet spa, the Chateau Marina, Crawdaddies Kids Club, and an indoor and outdoor pool.
It is owned and managed by John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts.
