Packers LB Clay Matthews inactive for Steelers game

PITTSBURGH - Outside linebacker Clay Matthews worked out on the Heinz Field turf several hours before the game Sunday, but he is inactive for the Green Bay Packers' meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Matthews was listed as questionable with a groin injury and said during the week that he would be given up to game time to prove he was able to play. He said the medical staff was going to be cautious because of the possibility of the injury becoming worse and it appears they felt he was still in danger of making things worse.
