With the NFL Draft approaching, former Alabama football players are preparing for Pro Day opportunities. As UA prepares to host NFL scouts and coaches for player workouts, Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith talked about joining his former college quarterbacks in the pros.

Smith has been in touch with those former teammates.

"We talked, more just about football in general and life things," said Smith on Miami Dolphins starter Tua Tagovailoa. "It's bigger than just football with us."

The Dolphins currently hold the third and 18th overall picks in the first round.

Smith also talked about former Alabama quarterback and Philadelphia Eagles starter Jalen Hurts.

"Me and Jalen, we talked recently," said Smith. "Just catching up, things like that. It would be a blessing for any team calling my name."

The Eagles hold the sixth overall pick in the first round.
