Despite speculation that he would miss Alabama football's second Pro Day due to a hand injury suffered in the national championship game, Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith ran routes in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday.

NFL Network's James Palmer confirmed that Smith had his injured finger taped to allow him to work out in front of NFL scouts.

Despite his injury, the Heisman winner is projected as a consensus high first-round pick in this year's NFL draft. Last season, he set school and SEC records for receptions and receiving yards in a season.
