Buffalo Bills draft former top 50 high school prospect with final pick in seventh round
The Bills finally got around to addressing a need on the interior of their offensive line when they chose Texas Tech guard Jack Anderson in the seventh round Saturday.
Anderson is a 6-foot-4, 314-pounder who played 38 career games for the Red Raiders, all starts.
In 2020, he was a team captain earned first-team All-Big-12 honors.
“Anderson is strong and nimble with the mean streak desired for
trench work, but he plays too upright and his lack of length lowers his margin for error,” said Dane Brugler of The Athletic. “He projects as a potential backup guard/center in a zone-based scheme.”
The projection some have made that he could move to center – all of his games were played at right guard – would help him because that’s what the Bills are looking for with their interior linemen.
