Ohio State cornerback opted back into the 2020 season when the Big Ten reversed its decision to play football this fall and will anchor the Buckeyes' secondary

Three days after planning to leave Ohio State early for the NFL, former Trinity Christian star Shaun Wade is reversing field.

Wade announced Thursday that he plans to play for the Buckeyes during his redshirt junior season, after the Big Ten's Wednesday decision to compete in football this fall.

On Monday, the preseason All-American cornerback had said that he would enter the 2021 NFL Draft, where analysts have viewed him as a future first-round selection.

Wade changed his plans, however, after the Big Ten — which originally planned to delay football until the spring — set its sights instead on an October kickoff.

Wade won four Florida High School Athletic Association championships with the Conquerors, receiving the All-First Coast defensive player of the year award in 2016.
