Dan Kohn's Week 13 NFL predictions

Wondering how players on the Patriots and Eagles are feeling now that they have been assigned a group of officials being punished for blowing calls in the San Francisco-Arizona game last week?

Pete Morelli’s crew has been yanked off the Sunday night game between the Colts and Steelers in Pittsburgh, which will be shown in primetime. Instead of not working any game this week, the crew will head to Foxborough, Massachusetts, for the afternoon contest not being shown nationwide.

It’s kind of like that teacher in grade school that couldn’t handle his class, so he was switched to a different group of kids.

Just like what usually happens to that teacher, this looks like it could get ugly.

Green Bay at Detroit: Since starting the season 6-0, the Packers have been awful. Detroit goes for its first season sweep in the series since 1991. There’s a good chance the Lions get it. Lions 24, Packers 17.

Houston at Buffalo: The Texans have won four in a row, while the Bills have dropped two straight. The Bills haven’t beaten the Texans since 2006. It’s about time they end the streak. Bills 23, Texans 17.

San Francisco at Chicago: The Bears are only one game out of a playoff spot, but are just 1-4 at Soldier Field this season. The 49ers are winless in five games on the road. Bears 22, 49ers 6.

Cincinnati at Cleveland: The Bengals are 3-0 in the division and have won three out of the past four games against Cleveland. The Browns are a mess and in need of quarterback help. Bengals 31, Browns 14.

Jacksonville at Tennessee: The last time the Jaguars and Titans met, Tennessee blew a late lead en route to a 19-13 defeat. The Titans repay the favor this time around. Titans 19, Jaguars 13.

Arizona at St. Louis: The Cardinals look to avenge a 24-22 loss to the Rams on Oct. 4. Nick Foles has been benched and the Rams have lost four in a row. Cardinals 27, Rams 17.

Baltimore at Miami: The Ravens usually have the Dolphins’ number, having won five consecutive in the series since 2007. Both teams are 4-7, but Baltimore is on a two-game winning streak. Ravens 20, Dolphins 12.

Seattle at Minnesota: The Seahawks have been playing well as of late, but face a red-hot Vikings team. If Seattle can contain Adrian Peterson, the Seahawks should prevail, Seahawks 27, Vikings 24.

New York Jets at New York Giants: The Jets have the better record at 6-5, but the 5-6 Giants sit in a first-place tie in the NFC East and are in dire need of a victory. The Jets haven’t beaten the Giants in the regular season since 1993. That streak continues. Giants 20, Jets 17.

Atlanta at Tampa Bay: After a hot start, the Falcons are floundering having lost four in a row. Tampa Bay started the season off slow, but finds itself just a game behind Atlanta in the NFC South. Buccaneers 23, Falcons 10.

Kansas City at Oakland: After a 1-5 start, the Chiefs haven’t lost since. Oakland is improved, but has come back down to earth the past month. Chiefs 24, Raiders 20.

Denver at San Diego: Brock Osweiler is 2-0 since taking over for Peyton Manning, including a win over the previously unbeaten Patriots. The Chargers snapped a six-game losing skid last week with a win over Jacksonville. Broncos 21, Chargers 17.

Philadelphia at New England: The Eagles have given up 90 points the past two weeks. New England is out to avenge its first loss of the season. Patriots 48, Eagles 17.

Carolina at New Orleans: The Panthers eked out a 27-22 win over the Saints in Week 3. The way the New Orleans defense has played since, this one won’t be that close. Panthers 42, Saints 21.

Indianapolis at Pittsburgh: The Steelers have dominated the series since the AFL-NFL merger, having won 19 of the 24 games played since 1970. Pittsburgh scored 51 points in a rout over the Colts last season. It won’t be quite as bad this time around. Steelers 38, Colts 27.

Dallas at Washington: Without Tony Romo at QB, the Cowboys are winless this season. Washington finds itself in a first-place tie in the weak NFC East. This one goes down to the wire, but the home team gets the nod. Redskins 28, Cowboys 25.

Last week: 10-6 (.625).

For the season: 102-74 (.580).

Predicting the Packers: 7-4 (.636).
