DE Adam Gotsis becomes seventh Jaguars player to re-sign
WR Chris Conley joins Texans
Defensive end Adam Gotsis became the seventh Jaguars player on Thursday to re-sign with the franchise.
Gotsis joins punter Logan Cooke, defensive end Dawuane Smoot, cornerback Tre Herndon, backup guard/center Tyler Shatley, tight end James O'Shaughnessy and kicker Aldrick Rosas.
Gotsis played in all 16 games with 14 starts and registered 37 tackles, including four tackles for loss, and three passes defensed in 2020. He spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Denver Broncos after being drafted in the second round of the 2016 draft.
During his five-year career, his career totals include 73 games played (42 starts), 146 tackles, including 13 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks, and 16 passes defensed.
Gotsis competed in Australian Rules Football for eight years before playing American Rules Football for the Monash Warriors in Melbourne.
After competing in Australia, Gotsis attended Georgia Tech, where he played four years before pursuing a career in the NFL.
Conley joins Texans
Earlier this week, former Jaguars receiver Chris Conley agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract to join the Houston Texans. Conley played the previous two seasons with the Jaguars, catching 87 passes for 1,246 and seven touchdowns. Conley was one of the Jaguars' player advocates for social change
