It appears like the Arizona Cardinals will not be on HBO's Hard Knocks this season.

According to a report from ESPN, the series on HBO is planning to feature both of the NFL's Los Angeles teams, the Rams and Chargers, in 2020, if there are training camps and an NFL season in 2020.

The teams are expected to share space at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, which is still under construction.

In February, Arizona Cardinals president Michael Bidwill didn't rule out his team appearing on the show.

"We're always going to listen to everything," Bidwill said during a radio appearance on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM. "We'll see what comes up.

"I think we've done a good job of being available and volunteering to do things, like 'All or Nothing.' So we'll see where we end up."

With quarterback Kyler Murray, coach Kliff Kingsbury and a team that is expected to improve a lot in 2020, the Cardinals could have been an ideal choice to feature on the program.

The team has never been on the show, which offers a behind-the-scenes look of a team during NFL training camp.

After trading for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, Arizona is expected to have a potent offense and is receiving a lot of hype, but evidently the potential to tap into the Los Angeles market is too strong for the NFL.

The Oakland Raiders were featured on the show last season.

Bovada released odds in January for which team could appear on the show and the Cardinals (+225) were second to the Pittsburgh Steelers (-120).

The Rams did the show in 2016. The Chargers have never done it.
