The Arizona Cardinals, who finished the season 8-8, will have the No. 16 pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

Who could they take with that selection?

Take a look at early NFL draft projections for the team from NFL writers.

Florida tight end Kyle Pitts shows up as the team's pick in a couple of recent NFL mock drafts, as does South Carolina cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Who would you like to see the Cardinals take?

CBS Sports: Cardinals take Virginia Tech CB Caleb Farley

Josh Edwards writes: "Arizona is fortunate to land Caleb Farley this late in the first round. Patrick Peterson and the team appear to be headed down a path of separation so Farley slides in to provide the NFC West franchise with a young combination."

Bleacher Report: Cardinals land Florida tight end Kyle Pitts

Gary Davenport writes: "The Arizona Cardinals missed the playoffs in 2020, but the team still took a step forward in Kyler Murray's second season at quarterback. Continuing that positive momentum in 2021 means building around the young signal-caller. The Cardinals have talent at running back in Kenyan Drake and Chase Edmonds, a solid wide receiver corps headed by DeAndre Hopkins and Christian Kirk and a decent offensive line. But with all due respect, the team's tight ends aren't scaring anyone. The addition of Florida's Kyle Pitts could change that. Pitts is the sort of tight end NFL teams salivate over in 2021. In many respects, he's more wide receiver than tight end as a 6'6", 240-pound pass-catcher with soft hands and excellent speed for a player his size. He's a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. Put a linebacker on him and he will run right past him. Put a cornerback on him and he'll use his lanky frame to box out like a power forward going up for a rebound. The Cardinals are already difficult to defend on the perimeter. Add Pitts and the middle of the field would open up while making it that much harder to use safety help on Hopkins."

Kyle Pitts could make the Arizona Cardinals even more dangerous on offense, should the team select him in the 2021 NFL draft.

SB Nation: Cardinals select USC OG Alijah Vera-Tucker

James Dator writes: "Similar to the Chargers, the Cardinals would probably rather a tackle be on the board. There’s a good chance they go defense here, but we know Arizona is an offensive team first, and that’s where the priority is. Alijah Vera-Tucker will hold the middle, protect Kyler Murray, and solidify the base. This team has sizzle, now this is a beef."

Draft Kings: Cardinals go with Minnesota WR Rashod Bateman at No. 16

Chet Gresham and Collin Sherwin write: "Had his ups-and-downs with the NCAA and opting-in-out of this season, but he’s a total stud. Had just 36 catches for 472 yards this season, and he’s much more of a complete receiver than just a speed guy."

Pro Football Network: Cardinals choose Florida tight end Kyle Pitts

Nick Farabaugh writes: "This is a luxury pick. The Cardinals have defensive needs, but this fit makes too much sense. Kyle Pitts is just a massive receiver masquerading as a tight end. With DeAndre Hopkins already in that offense, Pitts makes this offense absurdly hard to slow down. Pitts can be a Darren Waller-esque player. For a Kliff Kingsbury offense, that would be huge. Kyler Murray would have a massive safety blanket. They cannot pass up this value."

Sporting News: Cardinals end up with South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn

Vinnie Iyer writes: "The Cardinals are weak in cornerback coverage behind a rejuvenated Patrick Peterson, outside and inside.  Horn, the son of former NFL wide receiver Joe Horn, is getting the due he deserves as a big-time corner. His big two-interception game against Auburn fueled an upset as he was the best player on the field in that game. Horn has good size, length, athleticism and physicality."

Sportsnaut: Cardinals pick South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn

Matt Johnson writes: "For a team that just missed out on the NFL Playoffs, the Arizona Cardinals have a lot of needs. Kyler Murray needs better protection and it would help if this offense had a better vertical threat for his arm. On the defensive side, Chandler Jones would benefit from another edge rusher helping him out. Ultimately, based off the draft board, Horn is the guy. He is a physical corner who can match up in one-on-one coverage and that is something this secondary lacks."
