NFL power rankings head-scratchers: Arizona Cardinals as low as No. 5 entering NFL Week 8
The Arizona Cardinals are 7-0 on the season with impressive wins over the Tennessee Titans, Los Angeles Rams and Cleveland Browns.
But some NFL writers still don't think the team is the best team in the NFL, judging from their latest NFL power rankings.
While most have the Cardinals ranked No. 1 in their power rankings heading into Week 8 of the season, a few still have the league's lone undefeated team further down in their rankings.
What will it take for them to believe in the Cardinals, who have passed every test so far this season?
Perhaps a victory against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football?
NFL Week 8 picks, predictions:

FTNBets interestingly has the Cardinals at No. 4 this week, behind the Buffalo Bills, Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Cardinals ranked No. 4?
The site wrote that its "Top 3 here are pretty set in stone right now."
Yes, we are a little perplexed.
After all, the Bills have two losses, including one to the Tennessee Titans, a team the Cardinals beat on the road in Week 1 of the season.
Arizona also beat the Rams in Los Angeles earlier this season. The Buccaneers' loss this season came against the Rams, whom the Cardinals beat.
Evidently winning all of their games, including one against the team ranked No. 2 in that site's power rankings, is not impressive enough to be ranked higher than No. 4.
The Cardinals did move up, however, in that site's ranking this week.
The team was No. 7 in the rankings for FTNBets last week.

Interestingly, we found a different set of NFL power rankings that actually has the Cardinals lower than No. 4 this week.
thelines.com has Arizona ranked No. 5 behind the Buccaneers, Bills, Rams and Dallas Cowboys.
Again, the Cardinals beat the No. 3 Rams and beat teams that defeated the No. 1 Buccaneers and No. 2 Bills. The No. 4 Cowboys lost to the Buccaneers in Week 1.
NBC Sports has the Cardinals No. 2 behind the Buccaneers in its latest power rankings.

Fansided also ranks Arizona at No. 2 behind Tampa Bay.
Brad Weiss writes: "The only unbeaten team left in the NFL is the Arizona Cardinals, who are 7-0, and fresh off an absolute shellacking of the Houston Texans this past weekend. J.J. Watt has been an excellent addition, Kyler Murray is a star, and their +111 point differential is the best in football. They are for real and could be in for a special season."
Evidently they are just not "real" enough to be No. 1 in the NFL.
But at least he doesn't have the Cardinals No. 4 or No. 5.
Perhaps a win over the Packers would vault the Cardinals to No. 1 in these power rankings next week.
Then again, if you haven't been impressed enough to put Arizona at the top of your rankings yet, you will likely continue to find reasons to rank other teams ahead of them.
Even if those reasons make little sense.
