Arizona Cardinals' new uniforms addressed by team owner Michael Bidwill: 'On the radar'
It's no secret that many Arizona Cardinals fans would like to see the team get a new, updated look to its uniforms.
Could the Cardinals get new uniforms sometime soon?
Team owner Michael Bidwill addressed the uniform question in an interview with Arizona Sports 98.7 FM on Friday.
“We look at all these things," Bidwill said when asked on The Bickley and Marotta Show about getting new uniforms for the Cardinals. "You probably know, these things, there’s a timeline for them. It takes time. It's something among the array of things we look at around the team, it’s on the radar screen, so, appreciate the question.
He continued: "We’re going to honor tradition at the same time. Again, It’s part of the array of things we look at. It’s on the radar screen."
When pressed for a timeline to the Cardinals getting new uniforms, Bidwill replied: "It's on the radar screen. These things take time, guys."
Interestingly, some speculated that Kyler Murray's Instagram scraping of Cardinals-related content earlier this month had been because the team was going to get new uniforms, although that was not the case.
Still, Bidwill's comments about a new look for the team being "on the radar" have to be refreshing for those who have been clamoring for a new look for the NFL team for years.
There is no denying that the Cardinals are due (or past due) for a uniform upgrade.
NBC Sports recently ranked Arizona's uniform No. 32 in the NFL. Yes, last.
At least now, getting new uniforms is apparently "on the radar," which has to at least be closer than not being on the radar, right?
