Atlanta Falcons draft picks 2021: Round-by-round selections

Here is a 2021 NFL draft pick-by-pick breakdown for the Atlanta Falcons:

Round 1 (No. 4 overall) - Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida: He's been widely touted as the best prospect ever at his position. Now he'll line up between WRs Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones (presumably) and for a coach, Atlanta's recently hired Arthur Smith, who favors double-tight sets. Pitts, who's also a willing blocker, could be a weapon on the order of Travis Kelce or Darren Waller if he fulfills the hype. Draft tracker

Round 2 (40, from Broncos) - Richie Grant, S, Central Florida: Atlanta ranked last against the pass in 2020, allowing 34 TD passes. Grant, who had 10 picks over the last three seasons, joins a new-look safety corps that said goodbye to Keanu Neal and Damontae Kazee in free agency while welcoming Duron Harmon and Erik Harris.  Draft tracker

Round 3 (68) - Jalen Mayfield, OT, Michigan: Good value here for Atlanta given Mayfield was often projected as a first-rounder. Might wind up at guard in the NFL.  Draft tracker

Round 4 (108) - Darren Hall, CB, San Diego State

Round 4 (114, from Broncos) - Drew Dalman, C, Stanford

Round 5 (148) - Ta'Quon Graham, DT, Texas

Round 5 (182, compensatory) - Adetokunbo Ogundeji, DE, Notre Dame

Round 5 (183, compensatory) - Avery Williams, CB, Boise State

Round 6 (187) - Frank Darby, WR, Arizona State
