GRAPEVINE, Texas — There are millions of Cowboys and Packers fans looking forward to next Sunday's game, but one North Texan may be enjoying the buildup more than most.

Take a step inside the Grapevine home of Glen Christensen, and it's obvious he is a Packers super fan in enemy territory.

"I was born in Green Bay... I couldn't help but bleed green and gold!" he said.

Christensen's mother was the first baton twirler to join the Packers' cheering section. Business is what brought him to Cowboys Nation in 1984, but that rich family history led him to hang his mother's baton on a wall.

Eventually, he felt it needed some company.

"From when I was a kid, I have a helmet, I have pennants, and when I pulled it all out I had the start of a collection," he said.

It grew to one room, bursting with Packers pride …until his son went off to college.

"My wife was in Europe that week, and she came home and I had packed up my son's bedroom," Christensen said. "I'm still hearing about that!"

Gayle Christensen, his high school sweetheart, is a good sport about it all.

"I love it... I love the passion that he has for it," she said.

With the help of other collectors and friends, this shrine to all things Packers has grown to two rooms filled with history (and a bit of Wisconsin) down South.

"This brought home to Texas for me. It brought Titletown to Texas," he said.

It's fitting that Christensen has a bench and some sideline décor from the Ice Bowl in his collection, because — of course — he has tickets to Sunday's game. Some are calling it "Ice Bowl II."

Don't get him wrong, Christensen respects the Cowboys.

"They're a huge surprise, and good for them," he said.

He just believes this chilly showdown will end the same way as 1967's Ice Bowl, with a Green Bay victory.

"I do know this: I received two tickets in my season ticket package for the first playoff game and the second, and I know I'll be using the second!" he said.

Christensen is also up for a spot in the Green Bay Packers Fan Hall of Fame. If you like his collection, you can vote for him at this link. The contest ends Jan. 31; he's up against nine other fans from around the U.S.
