One day before minicamp begins, the Green Bay Packers released guard Marcus Reed from their 90-man roster.

Reed, an undrafted rookie from Fayetteville (N.C.) State, signed with the Packers on May 8. He was with the team for rookie minicamp, as well as organized team activities in late May and early June.

The Packers announced no other roster decisions to counteract Reed's release, setting their minicamp roster at 89 players.

The team opens minicamp 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Clarke Hinkle Field. Weather permitting, practice is open to the public.
