Invoices are in the mail to Green Bay Packers fans who were picked in the annual Brown County lottery.

The Packers made 3,000 tickets per game available this year, 1,000 less than in previous years. The team said several years of decreased demand prompted the decision. Those 1,000 tickets will be issued to people on the 123,000-person season-ticket waiting list.

Invoices must be paid by April 6. All are priced at $95, but those who later are assigned to preseason games will receive a $45 refund because seats for those games are $50. Game assignments are announced in June. Individuals who were assigned preseason games last year will not be given preseason games this year.

The lottery was created after Brown County residents voted to enact the 0.5 percent sales tax that paid for the 2003 renovation of Lambeau Field. The tax was terminated in September 2015.

The Packers said fans who pay by credit card will receive refunds more quickly. They can pay for tickets online using the Packers' Ticketmaster system at Packers.com or between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the Lambeau Field ticket office.
