GREEN BAY - With less than 48 hours until rosters across the NFL must be trimmed to 75 players, the Green Bay Packers have started making their cuts.

The Packers released receiver Ed Williams on Sunday, a league source confirmed. Williams, a 6-foot, 196-pound receiver from Fort Hays State, spent last season on the Packers' practice squad.
