Packers wide receiver Jeff Janis (83) lifts his broken hand during training camp practice.

GREEN BAY - There were no big surprises on the Packers' injury report this week, but the status of WR Jeff Janis (broken hand) remains up in the air.

Janis may play special teams with a club on his hand, so he was listed as questionable. Under the new NFL injury report rules, there is no "probable" designation anymore, so if a player is listed as questionable, it means he has a 50.1 to 99.9% chance of playing.

As a result, it's hard to say whether the Packers plan on playing Janis Sunday in the season opener at Jacksonville.

The status for three key special teams players is more certain. CB Josh Hawkins is out, S Chris Banjo is doubtful and LB Jayrone Elliott is doubtful.
