FIRST QUARTER

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson (87) greets tackle David Bakhtiari (69) after scoring a touchdown against the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field September 25, 2016.

GREEN BAY: Davante Adams, 14-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers (Mason Crosby kick), 1:10 left. How they scored: On second and 5, Randall Cobb came free on an extended play and the reception was worth 33 yards. On third and 7, the Lions blitzed and Adams beat nickel back Quandre Diggs on a slant for the TD. “Davante, moving him around in the slot, ran a nice route on the touchdown,” said Rodgers. The drive: Eight plays, 75 yards, 3:38. Packers 7, Lions 0.

DETROIT: Matt Prater, 42-yard field goal, 2:45 left. How they scored: Matthew Stafford found Eric Ebron for 14 to the 17 on third and 11. From there, Nick Perry tackled Theo Riddick for minus-3, LaDarius Gunter stopped Riddick for minus-3 on a screen and Mike Daniels pressured Stafford into an incompletion. The drive: Fifteen plays, 52 yards, 8:37. Packers 7, Lions 3.

GREEN BAY: Jordy Nelson, 8-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 1:01 left. How they scored: On the first play, Nelson ran an over route against LBs Thurston Armbrister and Tahir Whitehead for 49. “Those things happen,” Lions coach Jim Caldwell said of linebackers trying to cover Nelson. “You can’t always match up exactly man-on-man in those situations.” On third and 7, Rodgers extended the play before finding Nelson in the middle for the TD. The drive: Four plays, 60 yards, 1:44. Packers 14, Lions 3.

SECOND QUARTER

GREEN BAY: Richard Rodgers, 2-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 14:46 left. How they scored: Rodgers threw a bomb to Trevor Davis and CB Nevin Lawson was penalized 66 yards for pass interference. “I didn’t think it was,” Lawson said. “I was watching the ball in the air and I saw him trip and go down. I wasn’t grabbing or holding him.” On the next play, Richard Rodgers slipped away from DE Devin Taylor and caught a bootleg pass for the TD. “He was able to run out of the pocket and set his feet,” said Taylor. “When he does that, he throws an accurate ball.” The drive: Two plays, 67 yards, :47. Packers 21, Lions 3.

GREEN BAY: Crosby, 36-yard field goal, 10:41 left. How they scored: Ebron ran a 7-yard hook against Damarious Randall and the cornerback stole the ball from his grasp for an interception, returning it 44 yards to the 25. “It was a little stop route,” said Ebron. “That’s my fault. He made a good play. He gets paid, too.” From there, Rodgers threw incomplete behind Jared Cook, Richard Rodgers caught a pass for 7 and Slay defended an end-zone throw to Nelson on a blitz. The drive: Four plays, 7 yards, :59. Packers 24, Lions 3.

GREEN BAY: Nelson, 17-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 1:10 left. How they scored: Eddie Lacy burst inside for 25. On third and 2, the Lions blitzed and Rodgers threw a perfect fade over Slay to Nelson in the right corner for the TD. “I wasn’t worried about his speed because I’m pretty fast myself,” Slay said. “I was in great position. He gave me a really nice chicken wing (push). He is a very good technician.” The drive: Seven plays, 67 yards, 3:53. Packers 31, Lions 3.

DETROIT: Marvin Jones, 73-yard pass from Stafford (Prater kick), :32 left. How they scored: On the second play, Jones caught a takeoff against Josh Hawkins 19 yards downfield. Jones barely managed to stay in bounds as Hawkins stumbled and didn’t chase the play. Jones sprinted the final 50 yards untouched. “Just finishing,” Hawkins said. “It’s a learning experience. I’ll be back.” The drive: Two plays, 75 yards, :38. Packers 31, Lions 10.

THIRD QUARTER

DETROIT: Anquan Boldin, 2-yard pass from Stafford (Prater kick), 8:23 left. How they scored: The drive began when Jones beat SS Micah Hyde on a Cover 2-beater on the sideline for 23. On fourth and 2, Stafford rolled right and found Boldin against Quinten Rollins for the TD. “They were in man,” said Boldin. “I ran toward the line and then it was a quick out.” The drive: Twelve plays, 77 yards, 6:37. Packers 31, Lions 17.

GREEN BAY: Crosby, 46-yard field goal, 3:14 left. How they scored: Lacy started the drive by carrying on the first four plays for 30. From the 32, Lacy failed to gain, Rodgers was pressured into an incompletion, a 19-yard scramble by Rodgers was wiped out by Bryan Bulaga’s holding penalty against DE Kerry Hyder and Rodgers ran for 14. The drive: Nine plays, 47 yards, 5:09. Packers 34, Lions 17.

FOURTH QUARTER

DETROIT: Prater, 50-yard field goal, 12:32 left. How they scored: Stafford hit Ebron for 21. On third and 8, Stafford drilled a deep out to Jones for 17. On third and 1, LG Laken Tomlinson was penalized for a false start. Perry then beat LT Taylor Decker for an 8-yard sack. Might Decker see Perry in his sleep Sunday night? “I’m sure he will,” Perry replied. “I’m sure he’ll come back stronger when we play ‘em again.” The drive: Ten plays, 50 yards, 5:42. Packers 34, Lions 20.

DETROIT: Jones, 35-yard pass from Stafford (Prater kick), 3:34 left. How they scored: Brett Goode’s punt snap was high, leading to a 28-yard net for Jacob Schum. “He did an awesome job getting it off,” said Goode. On the TD, Hyde moved up from the play-side safety position in a two-deep shell leaving Randall in a difficult position to chase Jones. “I ended up slipping on the last play,” Randall said. “I felt I was in great, great coverage and I just lost my footing.” The drive: Six plays, 62 yards, 1:31. Packers 34, Lions 27.
