Practice report: No change on injuries
GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers were inside Wednesday as aggressive rain passed through the area. Players went through practice in helmets and shorts ahead of Thursday's heaviest session of the week.
The injury front remained relatively static for the Packers, who are preparing to face the New York Giants on Sunday evening. Tight end Jared Cook (high-ankle sprain) and cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) were the only two players who did not practice, just as it was during the first practice of the week Monday afternoon. Neither player was seen inside the Don Hutson Center on Wednesday.

On the flip side, the continued participation of outside linebackers Clay Matthews and Datone Jones, nose tackle Letroy Guion and safety Morgan Burnett are strong indications that all four players have a good chance to play this weekend. That all four took reps in the sporadic fumble recovery drill, which puts a premium on agility and quick movement, bodes well with a few days left between now and kickoff.
Without Cook, last year's starter Richard Rodgers vaults into the top position on the depth chart. Behind Rodgers is Justin Perillo, who has played sparingly so far this season after spot duty in 2015 following the injury to then-No. 2 Andrew Quarless. Rodgers and Perillo are likely to split reps against the Giants.
Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and LaDarius Gunter remain the top three corners if Shields is not cleared before Sunday.
