Rodgers tweaks calf, Cook injures chest

GREEN BAY - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who already was nursing a left hamstring injury, tweaked his right calf in Sunday's win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Rodgers was hobbled throughout much of the game but does not think his future availability will be compromised.
"It just happened a few hours ago," Rodgers said after the game, "so (I'll) give you a better update on Wednesday. ... I threw a touchdown pass and my calf started hurting me. That’s football. You deal with injuries, you know. … I’d like to talk about the win, you’re talking about my injuries. I’m not missing games, so … we’ve won three in a row."
Despite the injuries, Rodgers played a terrific game and torched a Seattle secondary that is among the best in the league. He finished 18-for-23 for 246 yards and three touchdowns, good for a passer rating of 150.8.
Rodgers came into the game with limited mobility because of a hamstring injury suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles in late November. His scrambling was all but nullified in the win over the Houston Texans last weekend, and the same was true again Sunday.

Coupled with the calf injury, Rodgers limped heavily throughout portions of the game. He did not try to scramble and finished with three carries for minus-6 yards. Coach Mike McCarthy removed him from the game with more than 11 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
"I didn't want to take any chances with him from a physical standpoint when the game was out of hand," McCarthy said. At that point, the Packers' lead had swelled to 25 points.
Tight end Jared Cook left the game with a chest injury in the first half and did not return. Cook and defensive back DeShawn Shead fought for a deep pass down the sideline and Shead, who may have interfered with Cook on the play, landed on the tight end's chest as they hit the ground.
Cook walked to the locker room and returned to the sideline without pads at the start of the third quarter.
Though McCarthy said he did not have any information about Cook's injury, director of football operations Eliot Wolf was seen talking to practice squad tight end Devon Cajuste in the locker room after the game. It's possible the Packers will sign Cajuste to the active roster and fill the roster spot left by defensive tackle Mike Pennel, who is suspended for the remainder of the regular season.
Wide receiver Randall Cobb suffered an ankle injury in the first half but returned to finish the game. Running back Ty Montgomery hurt his shoulder in the second quarter but also returned to the field.
