We’ll start today with Bob McGinn’s Rating the Packers from the Vikings game.

From Bob:

It took the Green Bay Packers three months to draw even with the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North standings. The Vikings’ 17-14 victory in Game 2 set the tone for the divisional race.

Finally, on Saturday afternoon at Lambeau Field, the Packers were able to eliminate their border rival from playoff contention.

“We fought,” Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Monday. “Watching the tape … I was curious if we would play hard. I thought we did that. Obviously, we didn’t play good enough to win.”

Pete Dougherty’s Four Downs highlights the job Mason Crosby did keeping the ball away from Cordarrelle Patterson and the Vikings’ dangerous kickoff return game.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy has an extra day to prepare for the Detroit Lions due to the Vikings game being played on a Saturday. Tom Silverstein outlines what McCarthy plans to do with that extra time.
