Packers schedule release set for Thursday
GREEN BAY - Get those calendars, flight schedules and hotel reservation options ready: The Green Bay Packers' 2017 regular-season schedule will be unveiled Thursday evening.
The NFL confirmed it will release the schedule at 7 p.m. CT on NFL Network. The date of the schedule release was inadvertently revealed by Detroit Lions president Rod Wood as the team unveiled its new uniforms.
The Packers' opponents already are known. In addition to two games against NFC North foes Chicago, Detroit and Minnesota, the Packers will host Seattle, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati and Baltimore and will visit Atlanta, Dallas, Carolina, Pittsburgh and Cleveland.
Green Bay's preseason schedule, which was released last week, also will be finalized. The Packers will open against Philadelphia between Aug. 10-13, visit Washington between Aug. 17-21 and head to Denver between Aug. 24-27, before closing at home Aug. 31 against the Los Angeles Rams.
