Former Denver Broncos defensive tackle Calvin Heurtelou has signed with the Packers.

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers signed former University of Miami nose tackle Calvin Heurtelou on Monday, giving them someone who can fill the snaps Letroy Guion was receiving before his release Aug. 8.

Heurtelou had been out of the NFL since his release by the Denver Broncos in the cutdown to 75 last year. The 6-2, 306-pound lineman had signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent in May 2016.

He had worked out for the New York Giants this month and likely worked out for the Packers this week.

In two seasons at Miami, Heurtelou started 24 games and recorded 52 tackles, a half-sack, four tackles for a loss and a fumble recovery. He played at Scottsdale (Ariz.) Community College before enrolling at Miami.

The Packers had an open roster spot and are now at 90.
