Bill Forester began his Packer career as a guard and defensive lineman. The Packers’ third round draft choice in 1953, he started at linebacker the next season where he became a solid player. Forester was Packer defensive captain in the early years of the Lombardi Era.
Over his 11-year Packer career, the 6’3”, 240-pound Forester intercepted 21 passes, recovered 15 fumbles and scored a safety.
The former Southern Methodist University star was an All Pro choice four times over the 10 seasons he played linebacker for the Packers.
