Bob Forte was an all-purpose offensive and defensive back as a Packer. The 6’0”, 195-pound Forte, a former star at the University of Arkansas, played many roles with the Packers. As a rookie, he was used as a part-time passer and full-time rusher and receiver. Forte excelled on defense where, in 1947, he led the Packers with eight interceptions. He intercepted 22 passes as a Packer.
He once returned an interception 68 yards for a touchdown verses the Washington Redskins in 1946. Forte was a Packer from 1946-’50 and from ‘52-’53. His career was interrupted by Korean War service in 1951
