A look at the quarterbacks who have been inducted into the Packers Hall of Fame. Wochit
The Packers acquired veteran quarterback Zeke Bratkowski for the $100 waiver price in 1963. He became an ideal backup and spot starter during the Lombardi championship era.
Bratkowski was an experienced veteran when he came to the Packers having played for the Chicago Bears and L.A. Rams. In the 1965 Western Division playoff versus the Colts, Bratkowski relieved the injured Bart Starr and led the Packers to a 13-10 victory.
A superbly conditioned athlete, Bratkowski was an early advocate of aerobic training for pro football players. The 6’3”, 200-pound former University of Georgia Bulldog star was a Packer from 1963-’68 and during the ‘71 season. He served two stints as Packer assistant coach, from 1969-’70 and from 1975-’81.
