George Peter Svendsen (March 22, 1913 - August 6, 1995) was an American football player. He also played one season for the Oshkosh All-Stars of the National Basketball League.
Minnesota star George Svendsen signed with the Packers in 1935. The 6’4”, 240-pound Svendsen played three seasons at center and linebacker, including the 1936 championship. He left to coach at Antigo, Wisconsin, High School from 1938-’39.
Svendsen returned to play on the 1940 and ‘41 Packers. He often played in the Packers 6-2 defense at linebacker next to Clarke Hinkle.
