James Lofton was the Packers first round draft pick out of Stanford in 1978. During his nine season he became one of the best Packer wide receivers in their long history. He led the Packers in pass receptions for seven years from 1980-86. He also had fifty or more receptions for seven years from 1979-81 and 1983-86; still a team record. During his career with the Packers he caught 530 passes for 9,656 yards (another Packer team record), and 49 touchdowns. A gifted athlete, Lofton was selected for seven Pro Bowls (1978-1985), while with the Packers. In 2003 he was elected and inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton Ohio.
