One of the primary leaders of the Packer Defense until a serious neck injury short circuited his career late in the 1992 season, Johnny Holland was a second round draft pick in 1987,. The Texas AM standout linebacker was the Packers Rookie of the Year in 1987, and went on to figure into over 100 tackles for five consecutive years. Packers linebacker coach Bob Valesente called Holland “One of the most consistent performers you’ll find on the field on game day”. Holland retired after returning for the 1993 season
