Tiny Engebretsen played for the Chicago Bears in the 1932 championship against the Portsmouth (Ohio) Spartans. In 1933, he played for both the NFL’s Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago Cardinals.

The 6’1”, 240-pound Engebretsen found a home in Green Bay when he was acquired in a trade with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1934. Over the next eight seasons, he kicked 14 field goals, 43 extra points and also played guard.

Engebretsen, who played collegiately at Northwestern University, kicked field goals for Green Bay in both the 1938 and ‘39 NFL championships. The Packers won the league crown in ‘39.

He was a Packer from 1934-’41. After retiring, he became a Packer scout.
