Travis Williams
Inducted - 1997
Travis Williams burst onto the scene in 1967 as kickoff return sensation. The rookie out of Arizona State returned his first kickoff for a touchdown against the St Louis Cardinals on October 30th. Two weeks late against the Cleveland Browns he returned two more kickoffs for touchdowns, and yet another on December 9th vs. the Los Angeles Rams. He was a key factor in the Packers drive to a third straight World Championship, and scored two rushing touchdowns in the Playoff game against the Rams. The “Roadrunner” played for the Packers from 1967 through 1970, and still holds the Packers team record for most kickoff returns for a touchdown in a game ; in a season ; and in a career.
