Report: Jim Hostler to replace Luke Getsy as Packers' receivers coach

GREEN BAY – Not long after longtime assistant coach Edgar Bennett informed Mike McCarthy he would search for employment outside the organization, the Green Bay Packers coach found a receivers coach from outside the organization.
The Packers have hired former Indianapolis Colts receivers coach Jim Hostler to fill the position, according to Sporting News. It was a position McCarthy hoped Bennett might take after he was demoted from offensive coordinator, a role he held the past three seasons. Bennett coached the Packers' receivers from 2011-14.

Hostler worked with the Colts on coach Chuck Pagano’s staff the past three seasons. He was the receivers coach in 2015, and transitioned to tight ends coach the past two years. Under his coaching, TY Hilton was a Pro Bowl receiver and Jack Doyle went from being undrafted to one of the NFL’s top-20 tight ends.
Before arriving in Indianapolis, Hostler spent time on the offensive staffs of the Buffalo Bills (2014), Baltimore Ravens (2008-13), San Francisco 49ers (2005-07), New York Jets (2003-04), New Orleans Saints (2001-02) and Kansas City Chiefs (2000).
The Packers’ receiver coach vacancy opened when Luke Getsy was hired as Mississippi State’s offensive coordinator after the season.
