GREEN BAY – Since Oren Burks suffered a dislocation in his left shoulder in the pregame warm-ups before the Aug. 24 exhibition in Oakland, Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy has maintained the severity of the injury was not as bad as it could have been.

On Wednesday, Burks returned to practice for the Packers as he participated in the padded drills open to the media. Burks was a spectator Monday.

Fellow linebacker James Crawford, who also watched from the side field Monday, was back for the Packers as well.

The only player not participating was safety Josh Jones.

With rain in the forecast, the team practiced inside the Don Hutson Center.
