Green Bay Packers' head coach Matt LaFleur talks to players during training camp Monday, August 19, 2019, at Ray Nitschke Field in Ashwaubenon, Wis.

It's the dawn of a new era in Green Bay when the Packers take the field this season, led by a new coach, a new-look defense and a quarterback looking to prove he's still among the best in today's NFL.

The Packers open the season with a bang on "Thursday Night Football" on Sept. 5, traveling to Soldier Field to take on the rival Chicago Bears. Remember last year when the Packers took on the Bears in the first week of the season? Of course you do.

Nobody is going to provide you greater game detail, better expertise or more behind-the-scenes stories than the team of veteran reporters with PackersNews.com. Sure, maybe the 2018 season didn't finish with the same rush of excitement as that opener, but 2019 could be a whole different ballgame, and this is the place to read all about it.

Tom Silverstein has been covering the team for 30 years. Columnist Pete Dougherty has been around the team since 1993. If they're not the ones giving you insights you can't find anywhere else, then it's Ryan Wood, Jim Owczarski, Olivia Reiner or Stu Courtney bringing you the sights and sounds from the game, the reaction from the locker room or the social-media story you've been buzzing about. Business reporter Richard Ryman takes you inside every development of the Titletown District near Lambeau Field, and Kendra Meinert brings you all things Packers pop culture, including public appearances and what's new with Danica Patrick.

Our Packers preview will get you started on the right foot.

Silverstein wrote about how new coach Matt LaFleur will utilize the run game as much as the passing game, which might be a change for Green Bay fans. Dougherty tells you why the health of two players might be the key to the season. Wood brings you a profile of star offensive lineman David Bakhtiari. Owczarski introduces you to Za'Darius Smith, one of several new free agents brought in to upgrade the 2019 roster.

We have 10 questions facing the Packers, a schedule analysis, a litany of interesting stats and numbers related to this year's outlook, a look back at 10 of the most memorable chapters in the Packers-Bears rivalry and a ranking of the Packers' 10 best seasons
