MILWAUKEE - Ticket prices are down slightly for Sunday's NFC championship game in Atlanta. Airfares from Green Bay are higher, and seats are limited.

The Green Bay Packers play the Atlanta Falcons at 2:05 p.m. Sunday in the Georgia Dome for a trip to Super Bowl LI. The Pittsburgh Steelers play the New England Patriots at 5:40 p.m. for the AFC championship.

The median price for the game in Atlanta was $624 on Wednesday, compared to $673 on Monday, by SeatGeek's calculation. Vivid Seats set the median at $593. The lowest prices at multiple secondary-market websites ranged from $264 to $302 per seat. Prices do not include fees, which can add $50 or more to a ticket.

Vivid Seats said seats in the lower levels at midfield started at $700, and the most expensive were more than $10,000.

SeatGeek and Vivid Seats said 4 percent of ticket buyers were from Wisconsin, which seems low for a Packers playoff game, but that does not include Green Bay fans living in the Southeast or other states.

"This is actually pretty high considering that the next-highest buying states are much closer to Georgia," said Adam Clemence of Vivid Seats.

The game is logging in as the third-cheapest NFC championship game in seven years, according to SeatGeek. The highest average sale price was $692 for New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers in 2012, followed by $688 for Packers at Chicago Bears in 2011, the last time the Packers won the Super Bowl. The least expensive games were $316 for 49ers at Falcons in 2013 and $405 for Arizona Cardinals at Carolina Panthers in 2016.

Fans always are advised to purchase tickets from reputable sellers, such as those who are members of the National Association of Ticket Brokers, or from people they know. The association's members might offer money-back guarantees if a problem occurs with purchased tickets. If a deal seems too good to be true, the axiom that it probably is applies.

Flights from Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport to Atlanta started at $960 for a Saturday through Monday trip, up from $816 on Monday. From Milwaukee to Atlanta, the lowest fare was $481 and from Chicago to Atlanta was $238, both up slightly.

One way to manage costs is to buy tickets, airfare, hotels and other services in package deals. Event USA in Ashwaubenon provides Packers game packages, including for Super Bowl LI beginning on Thursday. Fans also can bundle airfare, hotels and ground transportation at online travel sites, though those would not include game tickets or amenities such as tailgate parties.

Super Bowl ticket prices on secondary markets Wednesday were $3,100 per seat and higher.
