Aaron Rodgers is back with a new State Farm commercial, and he has 'a little secret' and a body double
Will the real Aaron Rodgers please stand up ... er, sit down.
It's double the No. 12 in a new State Farm commercial featuring the Green Bay Packers quarterback as himself and as his body double — with a slight hair adjustment.
In the spot that was revealed Thursday ahead of the NFL season opener between the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills on NBC, Rodgers is loafing in street clothes in the team locker room when he lets recurring character Jake from State Farm in on "a little secret."
"I hate practicing, so I hired a body double to do it for me," Rodgers tells him.
An enthusiastic Rodgers in his practice jersey comes bounding in with football in hand.

The advertisement is part of a new campaign in which people overshare personal information with Jake in order to get the insurance company's Personal Price Plan. Jake, always the voice of reason, lets them know there's no need to get that personal to get a price tailored to their needs.
In his spot, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes confesses he's "a bath bomb guy," dropping one fizzy, fragrant ball after another from the pocket of his robe into a bubble bath at a workout facility.
The ads are expected to air during the Rams-Bills game.
Aaron Rodgers has been the star of State Farm commercials for more than a decade
Rodgers and Mahomes have appeared together and separately in State Farm commercials since 2019. Their two spots in the new Personal Price Plan campaign come in 30-, 15- and 6-second versions each and are among 15 total across Spanish language, NFL and general markets.
Rodgers has worked with State Farm for more than a decade, beginning with a series of “discount double check” ads that began airing in 2011. In addition to Mahomes, his co-stars over the years have included former Packers teammates Clay Matthews and a dancing B.J. Raji: Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb; actors David Haydn-Jones and Adrian Martinez (the "Hey, Rodgers!" guy in the Cheesehead), and a couple of a dogs.

State Farm stood by its long-running pitchman last year when a public relations firestorm erupted from comments Rodgers made after testing positive for COVID-19 and it was revealed he was unvaccinated. The company significantly reduced the number of advertisements it aired at the time that featured Rodgers.
Last year, Rodgers appeared as a chill guitar-strumming singer-songwriter and as a game show host.
