McCarthy: House off to best start

Following are highlights from Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy's press conference after practice on Wednesday:
Is safety Morgan Burnett OK? He missed lot of practice.
I was told he tweaked his ankle.
What did you think of the first 2-minute drill in camp?
I thought (quarterback) Aaron (Rodgers) was exceptional in some things he did a the line of scrimmage. Communication on defense was good. What looking for.
What do you think of cornerback Davon House in camp?
Having his best year as a pro, seen that since April. Big long, strong corner. Does a lot of good things. Love that whole secondary.
What's held House back?
I wouldn't say held back, just his growth. Had injury in San Diego game (two years ago), I think everybody thought that was his time. He was a very young, raw corner when came here.
Will there be more on running back Eddie Lacy's plate?
I wouldn't say that, it's just more the little things he's comfortable with. Pass protection, he's much better. Had excellent rookie year. You're seeing growth in all aspects of his game.
Where does DuJuan Harris fit in the running back picture?
You train every running back to be a three-down player. We have an exceptional group to play fast. Want every position to play three downs. If you start substituting and guys can't play that position or this position, that's something DuJuan needs to do, focus on being an every-down back.
No off-field issues so far?
Distractions are coming. We know they're out there. Just take it one day at time and get better each day.
Defensive tackle B.J. Raji's good start?
B.J.'s in great shape, came in at a good weight. Some of what we're emphasizing in his job responsibility, he does naturally.
Growing pains with JC Tretter at center?
Playing center for first time in NFL offense, he needs every rep. Can't tell you if someone has prepared as much in offseason as he has.
Evaluation of Micah Hyde at safety?
Natural, instinctive football player, very bright. So much communication involved, he looks very natural back there.
Is tight end Brandon Bostick better this year?
He's bigger, stronger. Needs to stay healthy. He's had some setbacks and he needs to get after blocking because he has that ability to play on the line. He's done an excellent job coming off his injury and has himself ready.
When are receiver Jeff Janis and defensive end Jerel Worthy coming back?
Jeff's situation is different. I couldn't explain it. Watching him, being smart, I think (his return) will be sooner rather than later.
