McCarthy: Abbrederis has knee injury
Here are the highlights from Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy's post-practice press conference:

On injuries to wide receiver Jared Abbrederis and center Corey Linsley:
Jared has a knee and Corey has a shoulder. All the information I have. Wiill get more when I get upstairs.
On whether Abbrederis has an ACL injury:
He has a knee. He finished practice yesterday.
On Linsley's injury:
Hopefully not something long. Will find out shortly. Testing done on both players, will have more information later.
Is Family Night a regular practice or is it a bigger picture with fans there?
Definitely bigger picture, opportunity to get into game atmosphere, pregame. But then it's a regular installation practice.
How would you evaluate the offense in the red zone?
install phase, new wrinkles going in. Overall, wouldn't say just red zone, think running ball well, continue to work on play-action game. Drop-back stuff, timing takes longer.
Impression of rookie tight end Richard Rodgers:
Jumped out in offseason practices.
Like what you've seen from kicker Mason Crosby?
All our specialists very professional and consistent. Production targets hit so far.
What does quarterback Scott Tolzien have to work on with decision making?
Scott just needs to continue to get competitive reps. I still view him as young player. He's improving. Work ethic off the charts. Knowledge of the offense now is where needs to be. Had camp where he's shown progress.
Does rookie tight end Colt Lyerla have lot of rust?
I'd say yes, that's fair. The ball skills and timing and hand-eye coordination. He's been away from it for a while. Done great job getting ready physically, in excellent shape. He's a young guy that needs reps.
How is rookie wide receiver Davante Adams doing?
Good day today. Has ability to separate and be explosive, be strong at point with football.
What do you think of rules emphases with pass interference?
Rules haven't changed. It's obviously an emphasis in NFL, see it emphasized in preseason, trying to get it to a certain level. but have to keep playhing with good technique. We know rules, going to be gray area, that's when comes down to it. When they emphasize it, they're going to make the call, and when they don't emphasize it, they don't, that's been my experience.
How important is it for young guys like center JC Tretter to bounce back after a tough day?
Very natural progression for being comfortable. Things he struggled with for particular technique from the nose guard, he's gotten better with.
