Nelson, Adams sit out of Monday's practice
Jordy Nelson's absence from Saturday night's preseason opener against Tennessee wasn't a coincidence.

It was initially believed to be a day off for the Green Bay Packers' veteran receiver, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy revealed Nelson strained the hamstring leading up to Saturday's 20-16 loss to the Titans. McCarthy said Nelson is "day-to-day."
It could being nothing, but it's also alarmingly because Nelson missed four games with a hamstring strain in 2012 that affected him throughout the second half of the season.
Nelson, who recently signed a lucrative four-year extension with the Packers, missed 12 practices and three preseason games last year after undergoing knee surgery, but played in all 17 games last season (including playoffs).
The Packers were also without rookie receiver Davante Adams, who sustained a wrist injury on the second of his two muffed punts during Saturday night's game. He finished out the game and played 36 total snaps (29 offense, seven special teams).
A second-round pick in May's draft, Adams told reporters Monday that he didn't break any bones and should be OK.
"It's not going to be a setback at all," Adams said. "Maybe a couple days just letting it rest, treating it and everything. It's not going to set me back. I'm going to get it healthy and then be ready to go and pick up where I left off."
There was one other unreported injury out of Saturday night's game as second-year defensive lineman Josh Boyd suffered a rib injury that forced him out of Monday's practice.
Safety Morgan Burnett returned to the secondary from the strained oblique that kept him out of practice, while 11 others sat out.
