Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media after practice on Monday. Here are some highlights:

On Brandon Bostick's injury:

Brandon Bostick has a lower leg injury. He'll be a couple weeks.

On DuJuan Harris' fumble:

It was a technical flaw. He was corrected. Regardless of the player, you can't fumble the football.

On running backs:

I felt very good about the way the team produced. I thought our tempo was excellent. I felt good about the running back group and how they progressed.

On second-team offensive line:

Once they settled down, they did a lot of good things. This is the first time we had a lot of mental errors in all of camp. I don't remember going this long before having to address a game whether it's a game or install. It was mostly with the young players.

On backup tackles:

The sky isn't falling. We have two more weeks. Derek Sherrod did a lot of good things. He had a couple plays you wish he could have back, but I think they're progressing fine.

On keeping the same starters in camp:

The teams that play together and practice together every day get better. Opportunity to grow, takes time on the practice field. The continuity has been good. We're still trying to get different combinations of players going forward. You'll see that against Oakland. The biggest thing is the same guys are practicing together every day.

On third preseason game preparation:

It is. I don't think it's as big of an emphasis this year because of how early we went into an in-season schedule. You don't have the full week to do the dress rehearsal. The longer I do this, the importance of getting player evaluation – you try to get a balance of that. There will be more different combination of players this week. You're more worried about what you're team is doing and what you're working on.

On Flynn and Tolzien's practice:

I thought they had a sharp practice. That was our best tempo of the year. We were done extremely early. The takeaways in 2-minute drill added to that. I think it's going to be a lot of good video.

On Ha Ha Clinton-Dix's two picks Monday:

I think he's progressing. He's consistent. He's the same man every day. He's picked it up schematically and he's been productive.

On impact of the conditioning program/schedule:

The change in the schedule, I think is like a lot of things in this game. You do a lot of things over and over again. You emphasize certain components one year over another. The changes we've made, I think it's helped our younger guys how to be a pro. We've kind of made it a mandatory part of our schedule.

On staying healthy:

I don't want to talk about it. It's a change. Our guys are doing a good job. Mark Lovat gets a lot of credit for that. Russ Ball is a tremendous resource. I try to get better every year. These are discussions that have gone on for some time. We're the Green Bay Packers, we have resources.

On Jayrone Elliott:

He's a young man who's pretty much taken advantage of every opportunity he's been given.
