Bulaga, Hayward activated for Lions game
Right tackle Bryan Bulaga and cornerback Casey Hayward were activated for the Green Bay Packers today after both were listed as questionable for this week's game against the Detroit Lions with injuries.
Bulaga tore the medial collateral ligament in a knee in the season opener at Seattle and was sidelined last week against the New York Jets. He'll start at right tackle, where Derek Sherrod started last week.
Hayward was limited in practice this week with a glute injury. He didn't play from scrimmage last week, and was replaced in the nickel defense by Davon House.
Also active today, for the first time this season, is rookie outside linebacker Jayrone Elliott. He replaces Andy Mulumba, who was lost for the season after sustaining a knee injury last week.
Inactive for the Packers today are rookies Jeff Janis (WR), Mike Pennel (DT), Carl Bradford (LB) and Demetri Goodson (CB), as well as quarterback Scott Tolzien and linebacker Brad Jones, who was ruled out this week with a quadriceps injury. Jamari Lattimore will start for Jones at inside linebacker again.
Inactive for the Lions today are right tackle LaAdrian Waddle, cornerback Cassius Vaughn, linebacker Travis Lewis, safety James Ihedigbo, fullback Montell Owens, quarterback Kellen Moore and wide receiver Ryan Broyles.
Waddle and Ihedigbo are starters and will be replaced by Garrett Reynolds and Isa Abdul-Quddus, respectively.
Vaughn's absence creates a dearth of cornerbacks for Detroit, which is down to its fourth nickel back in Danny Gorrer, who was signed this week. The Lions also signed cornerback Mohammed Seisay from their practice squad.
