Green Bay Packers defensive end Datone Jones, left, leaves the field after injuring an ankle during the second quarter of the game against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field on Oct. 2.

Datone Jones, who has been battling an ankle injury, was inactive.

Jones, who barely practiced this week, was replaced in the starting lineup by defensive end Josh Boyd, who also was a limited participant in practice this week with a knee injury.

Other inactives for the Packers were wide receiver Jarrett Boykin (groin), linebacker Sam Barrington (hamstring), center/guard Garth Gerhart, quarterback Scott Tolzien, cornerback Demetri Goodson and linebacker Carl Bradford.

Out for Miami were wide receiver Brandon Gibson (hamstring), running back Daniel Thomas, defensive tackle Deandre Coleman, guard Shelley Smith, tackle Jason Fox, guard Billy Turner and tight end Harold Hoskins.

Returning to the Dolphins' lineup was Mike Pouncey, who started at right guard instead of his normal center position.

-- After giving up kickoff returns of 54 and 37 yards to Miami's Jarvis Landry, Green Bay's Mason Crosby kept the ball out of his hands on the next four kickoffs with a series of touchbacks and knuckleball kicks.

-- The Packers held the Dolphins to 112 rushing yards after entering the game allowing a league-worst 163 yards per game. Miami entered averaging 142.3 yards per game, fifth best in the NFL.
