Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media on Friday, his last session with them before Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings. Here are some highlights from his news conference:

Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Perry.

Injury report

Out: TE Brandon Bostick (hip). Questionable: OLB Nick Perry (shoulder), CB Jarrett Bush (groin), OLB Jayrone Elliott (hamstring), DL Datone Jones (ankle). Probable: LB Clay Matthews (groin), G T.J. Lang (ankle), G Josh Sitton (toe).

On Perry:

He's improving. Just probably get out there tomorrow and get through practice. Limited if we get to that.

On how outside linebacker rotation will go if Perry can't play:

It'll adjust, no doubt. Certain reps will go to different players, obviously. We're prepared for that

On Jones:

Turned his ankle yesterday. We'll see how tomorrow goes. It was same ankle injury as before

On cornerbacks coach Joe Whitt's name coming up for Troy coaching job:

Outstanding football coach. What he's done with corners speaks for itself. When you see his name involved, you're happy for him. Not going to get too much into it. It's an outstanding coaching staff and it's nice when you see them recognized for that.

On former seventh-round pick Charles Johnson, now with the Vikings:

Big receiver who had a lot of potential. He looks for what they're asking him to do. Fits their offense.

On preparing for Vikings running back Ben Tate:

Look at his run style and what they do on offense. How much he plays won't change how they run ball. We've watched tape on him.
